Fromholz' Texas Trilogy Goes to G'Nashville

You're looking and listening to "No Regrets" -- the fourth cut on the Cd. Steven had many requests to get some of his earlier recordings on Cd as a lot of them could only be found on old and mostly collectible LPs (if you can remember what an LP is don't try to fib about your age!) We've probably answered 500 emails with that request over the years and always told folks eventually there'd be a Cd just like that. "Texas Trilogy Goes to G'Nashville" is that Cd !
The cuts on "G'Nashville" were all done in Nashville some years ago and remastered for this release. The original production was superb and translates to the "G'Nashville" Cd with ease. Steven and Willie Nelson team up on the first cut, "Hondo's Song" which Steven wrote in honor of his friend the late Hondo Crouch of Luckenbach, Texas fame. Steven makes his sentiments and devotion to both Willie Nelson and Hondo Crouch very clear as he's dedicated this Cd to Willie and the memory of Hondo.
"Yellow Cat," one of Steven's early tunes, is included here and for those of you who aren't familiar with it -- it's a haunting melody supporting words about a guy who's really messed up, his love has left him and he's trying to figure out what he did to make her leave. He's also feeling pretty sorry for himself as he talks about "plastic flowers that I planted yesterday have died and everything I do turns out that way." Early on, the tune was covered in an album by the late John Denver and was one of John's favorites. We have a recording of John describing "Yellow Cat" to some musician friends at an impromptu gathering prior to recording the song and his enthusiasm and admiration for the tune was huge.
Another much requested cut appears on the Cd -- "A Little More Holy" -- one of Steven's religious/spiritual tunes. Although he wrote quite a few songs in this genre it seems this particular song touches the hearts of the most people. The song is a direct plea to the Lord for help as "I'm a dangerous man." Probably every person that's ever listened to the song can identify with it in one way or another.
